Vintage Burn is a sports supplement produced by Cosidla Inc and marketed under the Old School brand name.
The company is based in Beverly Hills, California and also distributes a number of other Old School products including a two-stage pre-workout supplement and a protein powder.
Cosidla initially conducted all its activities via Amazon.com. It has since started processing sales via the company website.
Editors Comment
At the time of this review, the company was taking its first tentative steps at breaking into the UK market by creating an Amazon UK online store.
The only items available via Amazon UK were the Vintage Build post-workout formulation and the company’s omega fish oil supplement. However, the company appears to be slowly building credibility and trying to expand its activities.
Our Verdict 6.8/10

What Is Old School Labs Vintage Burn?
As the name suggests, Vintage Burn is a fat burner. More than this, it’s a fat burner that’s designed to protect existing muscle mass.
The fat loss process often involves a minor degree of muscle loss because the body sometimes burns a tiny amount of muscle tissue for energy as well as fat.
Vintage Burn is marketed towards bodybuilders and athletes. These are people who work hard to develop quality muscle tissue, yet often have a need to reduce body fat.
Needless to say, any supplement that promises to burn fat and protect muscle tissue is a potential Holy Grail.
Promised Benefits
- Promotes weight loss
- Preserves muscle tissue
- Improves mental focus and mood
Key Ingredients
The first thing to note is, Cosidla provides a complete ingredient profile that includes all the inclusion rates. That’s good to see. There are nine ingredients.
That’s quite a few, but nobody can accuse the company of trying to throw in everything but the kitchen sink.

Vintage Burn Formula
The main claim Cosidla makses is Vintage Burn burns fat and protects against muscle loss. The company also alleges the formulation improves mental focus and mood. Let’s take a look at some of the ingredients it’s using and see how all this pans out.
Burns Fat
Green tea is undoubtedly included as a fat burner and it’s a good one. There’s a wealth of research that shows it works well in this role. Some research even suggests the fat burning benefits can last for up to 24 hours.
Green coffee bean extract also has a lot of respect as a fat burner. Some of the other ingredients are alleged to have value in this regard as well. Most notably caffeine, which increases calorie usage by boosting the metabolism and increasing thermogenesis. [SOURCE 1, SOURCE 2]
Protects Muscle
In theory, Vintage Burn should have the ability to protect existing muscle mass because forskohlii boosts testosterone. This important bodybuilding steroid hormone serves a lot of roles in the body. Assisting with fat burning and protein synthesis are just two of them.
However, forskohlii will be largely acting alone here, so the dose may not be high enough.
Although chrysin is also alleged to boost testosterone, present research suggests this is not so. [SOURCE 1]
Improves Mental Focus and Mood
Research shows doses of 200-250 mg of caffeine can improve the mood for up to three hours. Vintage Burn does not provide this much.
It has also been established doses of 75-150 mg of caffeine can increases mental alertness. The formulation should provide enough to do this.
Bacopa leaf is often alleged to be a mood enhancer, but there is a lack of research in this area. However, it may offer some value as a cognitive enhancing herb. [SOURCE 1]
Usage Instructions
The normal dose is two capsules, two times per day. It’s best to take them with with meals and a glass of water. However Cosidla advises new users to begin with one capsule, two times per day and asses for tolerance issues. If no tolerance issues arise the full dose should be taken from day three onward.
For maximum benefits, its permissible to take two capsules, three times per day.
Vintage Burn Review from Customers
There is a lot of customer feedback available for Vintage Burn. Most of it is from people who are happy with the results. However, there are a lot of people who say the product let them down and many claim it made them feel ill too.
Some randomly-selected customer comments read:
“Yep! This is good stuff. Works for me anyway. I used it alongside a moderate eating habit change and lost 12lbs.”
“I have no idea how this product has got so many good reviews. I’m sure they must be fake. It leaves your fat alone and targets your digestive system instead and not in a good way. I’ve never spent so much time in the toilet puking and pooping.”
“I’ve lost 10 pounds this month so I guess Vintage Burn must work. That’s with the right diet and plenty o gym days though. I don’t know if it will do the same if your butt never leaves the sofa.”
“Most of the time, I exercise 5 nights a week but I needed some extra help with fat burning. I thought Vintage Burn would give me that help but I was wrong. It did absolutely nothing.”
Side Effects and Other Health Considerations
Old School Vintage Burn is free from gluten, does not contain any GMO ingredients, and is 100 percent vegetarian-friendly.
Cosidla makes it very clear the caffeine in the capsules may make them an unsuitable option for some people.
The company is also responsible enough to point out some of the side effects too much caffeine can cause including insomnia, irritability, jitters, nausea, and rapid heartbeat.
Due to the presence of caffeine, Cosidla also warns against taking the capsules within four hours of bedtime.
Warnings aside, two capsules only provide 130 mg of caffeine. This is similar to what you would get from one-and-a-half cups of coffee. Most people should be okay with that.
However, the formulation is only intended for healthy adults. Along with pregnant and nursing mothers, potential users who have existing health problems are advised to check with a doctor before taking Vintage Burn.
Cosidla offers the same advice to people who would need to use the product alongside medication. All of this is very responsible on the company’s part.
Unfortunately, the formulation as a whole does not appear to be a good match for some people’s constitutions.
The most commonly reported side effects are:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Stomach pains
- Diarrhea
- Headache
Other reported side effects include:
- Bloating
- Fatigue
- Hazy focus
Where to Buy Vintage Burn
Most Old School supplements are only available to customers living in the USA. Eligible customers have the option of making a purchase via the official Old School website or from Amazon.com.
At the time of this review, customers purchasing from the Old School website could buy a bottle of Vintage Burn for just under $50 or buy via autoship subscription and receive a 15 percent discount. The Amazon price was closer to $60, but in both cases shipping was free.
A bottle of Vintage Burn provides 120 capsules so, when using the standard dose of four capsules per day, each bottle should be good for 30 days of use. However, using the maximum dose of six capsules per day will bring this down to a usage period of only 20 days.
Subject to satisfactory verification, Cosidla offers a 15 percent discount to students and US military personnel.
Guarantee
On the face of it, the Old School guarantee looks pretty good. Cosidla state customers who are not happy with their purchase can claim a 100 percent refund. Better still there is no mention of any deductions for handling charges.
The company also states there is no reason to return the bottle in question. Only to contact the customer services department and ask for a refund.
Naturally, if multiple bottles were ordered, the unused bottles will need to be returned. That’s fair enough.
However, Cosidla fails to state how long the guarantee is valid.
Although some companies offer money back guarantees that are good for one, two, or even three months, there is no reason to presume the Old School money back guarantee lasts this long.
Some companies offer a guarantee that expires just a few days after the sale. It’s rare, but it happens.
Vintage Burn Summary
Old School Vintage Burn should offer value as a fat burner, but its ability to protect existing muscle mass is disputable. The formulation is unlikely to be strong enough to deliver the goods. It is quite similar in the respect to Burn-XT another fat burner
The fact that the formulation appears to be capable of causing side effects is also an issue.
If you buy Vintage Burn you are paying a similar amount of money as you would when buying any of the top diet pills, all of which offer a greater amount of weight loss support and do not have a reputation for causing side effects.
For general weight loss, Vintage Burn leaves a lot to be desired.
However, Cosidla is targeting bodybuilders and athletes with this product.
Again it’s not really much of a contender.
All of the best legal steroid substitutes have better credentials and will surely deliver superior results.
