Welcome to SMGF's Educators' Program!
Since SMGF's inception in 1999, teachers around the country have asked us how they can help their students understand DNA and
how it plays a part in the growing field of molecular genealogy. In 2007, we started the initial curriculum development and in 2008
we are able to release the first of many innovative tools for your use. We encourage you to use the animations in your classroom,
and challenge your students to research the connections and mysteries of deceased historical figures' DNA.
In an effort to keep up with the evolving field of molecular genealogy, we hope to continue to create more for teachers to offer
their students. We appreciate feedback of how the current tools are working and suggestions on how we can improve and
expand this program in the future.
We are currently running our pilot program of the DNA participation Educator's Program. We encourage you to
register for a SMGF educator's account to receive SMGF
curriculum updates and announcements, including when DNA testing and analysis is available to all classrooms.
